Dio Deka has really stepped up on food and service. Anthony did an outstanding job and clearly cluster customer focused. The food has really stepped up with ribs being outstanding, lobster pasta was a bit under seasoned abs the beignets and cake verve good. Very nice selection of wines and very affordable. Ambiance is very nice and upscale!

I've been meaning to try this place for awhile. As a Greek, I pride myself to try the many different authentic Greek restaurants in the area. So when hubby suggested to go on a date night, I knew just where I wanted to go. I'd give this place 3.5 stars out of 5. This restaurant is tucked away from the busy downtown of Los Gatos. It's actually a restaurant part of a hotel. So if you aren't staying at the hotel, you have to park on the street. We didn't have any trouble finding street parking but you do get the sense that you are in a hotel ambiance. One of the highlights is walking into the entrance and seeing the beautiful fountain! We were immediately greeted and seated. The ambiance I'd say was decent. They have Greek music playing but the lighting could have been better. Now for the food. I had reviewed the recommendations from previous yelpers so I had an idea what to order. The main tip is yes, definitely order the Greek dishes as that is their specialty! For appetizers, we had the fried zucchini and the saganaki. Now the Saganaki is typically served flambé but they actually took a different spin to their saganaki. They serve it more sweeter, drizzled with honey. Apparently that's how the owners grandmother used to make it so I thought that was a nice touch. It was interesting for a saganaki though as I was used to more savory! The main meals were delicious. I had the lobster pasta and the sauce and the lobster melted in your mouth. It was also a generous portion which I appreciated. Hubby had the lamb shanks that were also tasty. The one thing to note about the meals is that you order the main dish (like lobster pasta or lamb shank) and you have to order the sides seperately (the potatoes, veggies, etc). I thought that was a little weird and not to mention it was costly for the amount as well. This is not very typical in Greece so I didn't think that part was that authentic. For dessert we had the baklava although at that point we were both ready to be rolled out of the restaurant because we were so full! The service was also pretty attentive and friendly. Overall I thought it was a nice place and we had a lovely time but I don't think I will be back. It doesn't compare to the caliber of the other Greek restaurants in Palo Alto that we go often to. You definitely feel like you are part of a hotel, not just its separate restaurant. Full disclosure, it was a tad forgettable in that sense, and the fact we had to order sides as extra kind of turned me off. However I am still glad I tried it. I'd recommend coming here for a date night to try it out for yourself! Just be prepared to pay extra for sides, feel as if it's part of a hotel and have it be semi-Greek authentic. And if you do come here, definitely get the lobster pasta!!!

Got reservations online for 4, and arrived around 7ish for dinner on a Friday. Found street parking nearby and walked to the restaurant Had come here upon recommendations from friends. Ordered assortment of spreads and lamb meat balls as the two appetizers. Lamb meat balls: rating 4/5 Loved the meat balls. They come as a 3 piece in the plate but the staff added one to serve our party of 4 Assortment of spreads: rating 4/5 Red capsicum and yoghurt, tzatziki, baba ghanoush served with a unique bread I haven't had before but enjoyed Branzino : rating 4.2/5 Loved the dish. Although apparently they used to serve the entire fish and debone it in front of your eyes earlier. Seems like they have stopped doing so which was a bummer. The quantity of the fish was hence smaller than what we expected, as only two pieces of filets were served. Scallops: rating 4.2/5 Loved the char and cooking on the scallops. It came on a bed of polenta that was made like a semi slurry with butter or oil garnishing. Could have used some herbs on the polenta to make it taste gorgeous! Baklava - rating 4.1/5 Nice baklava, a little too sweet for some others on the table. Came with ice cream. I ate most of it as the group also tasted some complementary tiny tarts served that I was not a fan of unfortunately due to their taste.

I wanted to get a drink after dinner but it was so crowded I had to wait 20 minutes for the bartender to come over to take our order. The food is great and so is the service! It's all worth waiting for!! Athos is a STAR waiter and he has the most effervescent and delightful personality! My octopus was good and so was my salad. The roasted potatoes are A+++ and so is the grilled salmon!!
